We (CS Repairs Ltd) need to collect some data about you to enable us to carry out the work you have requested. This necessity forms the legal basis on which we collect and retain your data, subject to the limits below.

We will collect the data needed to carry out the task, store it securely whilst we have it, and securely delete it once it is no longer required.

We collect the minimum data to carry out customer instructions. This includes name, address, contact details and appliance details.

The length of time the data is held varies for different data.

Tenant details may be kept for up to 2 years due to the legal requirement to retain Landlords Gas safety records for this period.

Landlord details are retained as long as there is a need for certification. This is to allow  notification of their imminent expiry and to be informed of the options for renewal. Also subject to Gas Safe rules.

Customer details are retained for the duration of their certifications. Some services require periodic renewal, and we will notify you as expiry approaches. Again subject to Gas Safe rules.

No customer bank details are held.

We neither conduct marketing nor share information with anyone that does.

Some of this data may be passed to other trades people purely for the purpose of completing your order. It will not be used for marketing or any other purpose, and will only be retained by them whilst necessary for the completion of your order.

We may contact you with information such as changes in legislation, product recalls, and new services we are able to offer.

You have certain rights under the new General Data Protection Regulations.

You have the right to request;

The deletion of any data we hold about you within the limits of the law eg. data that is included on gas safety certificates must be retained by law for certain minimum periods.

Access to your data.

Transfer of your data to third parties.

Correction to any errors in the data we hold for you.

We can process any explicit request not to contact individuals.
